Right now, the world has the knowledge to dramatically improve patient outcomes everywhere. But not every surgeon can access it at the moment they need it. We believe it’s time to fix that disparity.
Proximie’s healthcare platform brings together telepresence, content management, and data insights to help hospitals, surgeons, and medical device companies improve patient outcomes and drive productivity. With Proximie, expertise can be shared from anywhere using any device, and data from procedures can be securely captured, managed, and analyzed at scale.
It’s how to dismantle the barriers to better care caused by limited staff, time, and resources. So information and insight can flow where they’re needed to reduce variation and create better outcomes. So a culture of safety and continuous learning can take root. And so every patient—in your hospital and around the world—can receive care beyond limits.
In 2016, Dr Nadine Hachach-Haram FRCS (Plast), BEM, drew on her surgical experiences and her passion for innovation and education to create Proximie.
I wanted to create a platform that extends the reach of a surgeon’s expertise. I envisioned an immersive experience that enables collaboration and digitizes a surgeon’s footprint to make their skills timeless. In effect, our platform would be a borderless operating room where surgeons can capture, share, and analyze life-saving knowledge, from anywhere.
We’re empowering healthcare practitioners with technology that helps reduce variations in care, improve patient safety, and ultimately save lives.
We’re creating the platform to capture, store, and analyze the world’s surgical knowledge, so it’s accessible anywhere at the moment it’s needed.
We’re enabling patients to become essential partners in the journey to improve surgical care by upholding their trust and protecting their most sensitive information.
We’re inspiring hospitals and surgical teams to bravely embrace a mindset of transparency, dialogue, and continuous improvement.
As a practicing surgeon, Nadine witnessed firsthand, in both the developed and developing world, the considerable variation in clinical care which drives up cost and results in poor patient outcomes. Proximie was born out of a need, and her ambition as a surgeon was to find a solution and scale it using technology.
