M42’s Healthpoint Partners with Proximie to Bring Real-Time Surgical Intelligence to Operating Rooms in Abu Dhabi

  • ‍The collaboration aims to make use of Proximie’s AI-powered surgical intelligence platform across Healthpoint’s main operating rooms, giving surgical teams real-time visibility and the foresight to stay one step ahead, so every patient has a smoother, more predictable surgical journey.
  • The technology helps teams identify delays earlier, improve coordination and make better use of existing operating-room capacity

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 23 October, 2026 – Healthpoint, part of the M42 Group, has partnered with Proximie, the global surgical intelligence platform for the operating room (OR), to bring anticipatory health into surgical care, by working towards introducing real-time surgical intelligence across its main operating rooms in Abu Dhabi.

Proximie’s AI models, supported by the secure cloud and AI infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS), are designed to understand each surgical phase as the day unfolds, and predict and guide what comes next. The technology could enableHealthpoint’s clinical and operational teams to identify potential delays earlier, plan theater schedules more accurately, and make faster, data-informed decisions about operating-room capacity.

The partnership follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Healthpoint and Proximie during the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit (ADFHS) that supports a wider focus on using data and advanced technology to improve the efficiency, coordination and quality of surgical care. Healthpoint will be the first hospital within the M42 network to implement the technology.

As part of the deployment, the platform is intended for use across all operating rooms at Healthpoint, supporting surgical teams with all surgical cases and procedures. Proximie’s platform is designed to ambiently capture and analyze each stage of a case as it happens automatically, enabling Healthpoint teams to track surgical lists as they progress, identify emerging delays and adjust plans during the day.

Omar Al Naqbi, Chief Executive Officer of Healthpoint, said:

“For patients, a well-coordinated surgical journey means greater clarity, fewer avoidable delays and a smoother experience from preparation through to recovery. Though this collobration, we aim to give our teams a real-time view of surgical activity, this technology will help them anticipate challenges earlier, coordinate care more effectively and plan with greater confidence—supporting a more seamless experience for every patient.”

Dr Nadine Hachach-Haram FRCS, BEM, Founder and CEO of Proximie, said:

‍“Operating rooms generate valuable information throughout every surgical day, but much of it has historically been captured manually or reviewed after the fact. Our surgical intelligence platform turns that information into real-time intelligence, helping teams anticipate how the day will run and direct the right next step to the right team at the right moment. We are proud to partner with Healthpoint and M42 to works towards bringing this capability into daily surgical practice and support timely, data-informed care in Abu Dhabi.”

This real-time intelligence will make surgical days easier to plan and manage, while strengthening coordination between surgical, anesthesia, nursing and perioperative teams. By identifying pressure points earlier, Healthpoint can make better use of available theater time, support more predictable schedules and treat more patients using its existing operating-room capacity.

This collobration also supports Abu Dhabi’s ambition to build a more connected and technology-enabled healthcare system with the potential for future implementation outcomes to inform wider use of the technology across the M42 network.
